If you enjoy playing open ended action games then Saints Row 4 might be just the game for you, the beauty of Saints Row IV is that it never takes its self too seriously, or tries to be something it's not. This game only focuses on what it does great and that's create quirky fun gameplay and situations that you can't help but smile at.
The playful and goofy plot places players as the leader of the biggest gang in the world which has someone gained mass appeal and this leader even becomes the president of the United States and has to lead the country and world against an alien invasion that takes place, I know kind of wacky huh ? Basically that's what this game is, one giant parody of other video games and lots of pop-culture topics and it embraces this well.
Saints Row 4 excels in it's open world gameplay which gives players freedom to explore their world at will where they can choose to run around and creak havoc, progress on story missions, or find one of many side missions. Like many open world games their is a lot of variation in what you might be asked to do in missions, but even by open world standards this game is really over the top. You might be asked to fight off zombies on moment and then doing battle with a dubstep gun. One of the funnest things about Saints Row 4 is the super powers you will get as you progress enabling you to jump over entire building or outrunning a sports car on foot. You also will unlock elemental powers enabling players to wield ice and fire at will shooting projectiles and other abilities. You progress through these skills in a skill tree unlock system which adds a lot of customization and choices, and to upgrade these skills you have to locate hidden objects throughout the world map which encourages exploration. I mentioned earlier that the world is under alien attack, well there are a few districts in your city which each at any moment could be under alien invasion. You have to complete side type missions to push back the invasion and once you clear out the district you gain extra bonuses while that said district is clear.
What I really enjoyed about this game was the ability to grab a friend and play cooperative through the entire game more or less. Believe me there are few things you will find more fun than running around doing crazy stuff with a friend in Saints Row 4. Also the deathmatch mode is hilarious two people running around a city with superpowers trying to destroy one another almost never gets old trust me.
All in all Saints Row 4 is an enjoyable experience where gameplay is king being the front and center selling point. If you are ok with your games not being overly serious and not having some epic story then you absolutely must play this game. This Saints Row pc download is basically an interactive comic book that will have players coming back for more all the time.
